Anti-Aging In Your 60s+
How To Look Younger After 60
Women over the age of 60 fit into two categories. If they’ve been proactive fighting the aging process, they are well into a comfortable routine of non-invasive solutions and they feel as if they are actually fighting the clock. They may see family members or friends and think “hey, something I’ve done is working”. On the other hand, women who have just started their journey with aesthetics may feel as if they are fighting an uphill battle. They don’t like what they see in pictures, and think the damage is too far gone to fix. Women in their 60s no longer take care of their kids, but don’t have much experience taking care of themselves. The idea of spending money on themselves is a foreign concept. Women in this age group still feel young and energetic on the inside and can benefit the most from aesthetic treatments. It’s rewarding as a physician to harmonize how a patient sees themselves with how they feel.
If you’ve already on my 5-pronged anti-aging plan (see the 50’s), there’s not too much to add. Continuing the preventative and curative measures should keep you looking and feeling great for decades to come. In your 60+ you may want to consider the CO2 laser to address particularly troublesome areas.
CO2 – The most intensive laser, in terms of results and downtime, CO2 will truly take care of those stubborn wrinkles. Be prepared for amazing results that come with a whopping 10+ days of downtime. This fully ablative procedure will treat crepiness, scarring, fine lines, wrinkles and creases, as well as issues of pigment and discoloration. This procedure requires you to have a driver as well as pre and post-operative visits. The RewindTime Laser Skin Treatment is the gold standard of care for this procedure.
Sculpt+Lift Jawline and Neck Treatment – As we age the neck and jawline area can start to sag or become lax. The Sculpt+Lift procedure tightens and tones loose skin on the neck, jawline and jowls.
