Frequently Asked questions
Is PicoSure Pro safe?
The FDA has cleared the PicoSure Laser to safely treat removal of tattoos, benign pigmented lesions, and fine lines and wrinkles. The PicoSure Pro has an excellent safety profile. Like any laser procedure, there are risks. We stress the importance of finding an experienced provider who understands the finer points of laser treatment.
PicoSure Pro downtime
The downtime for PicoSure Pro will vary based on the treatment protocol used. The procedure itself typically takes less than 30 minutes and feels warm and prickly. After treatment patients report a sensation of heat, which will subside throughout the day.
PicoSure Pro requires downtime, which ranges from 3-7 days based on your individual treatment plan. Downtime is characterized by predictable stages that usually resolve within a week of treatment. Your provider will give specific instructions about what to expect and how to minimize side effects. It is important to limit sun exposure post PicoSure treatment.
PicoSure Pro RESULTS
The PicoSure Pro may be used on most areas of the body. It is possible to treat multiple areas of the skin in a single session. You can expect a reduction of textural issues, such as pore size, fine lines, scars, wrinkles and creases, and significant improvement of unwanted pigment and sun damage. A series of treatments may be required to best address certain concerns.
