Sofwave

Sofwave is a non-invasive treatment that uses ultrasound technology to stimulate collagen and revitalize skin. Sofwave can be used to lift and tighten the brows, midface, neck, and area under the chin, as well as many areas on the body.

How does Sofwave work?

Sofwave uses Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam SUPERB™ technology to heat tissue 1.5mm deep in the mid-dermis. While heat is delivered to the deeper layers of the skin, Sofcool™ simultaneously cools and protects the uppermost layer of skin. The treatment stimulates a healing response called neocollagenesis, which increases and regenerates collagen production.

Is Sofwave safe?

Sofwave is FDA cleared for lifting the eyebrow, submental area and neck and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Sofwave is safe for all skin types. Dr. Cox stresses the importance of finding an experienced provider directly supervised by an on-site physician to assure the treatment is appropriate for you.

Sofwave downtime

Sofwave treatment is well tolerated. Prior to treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area. Most patients are comfortable throughout the procedure, but we do offer Pro-Nox as an option. There is no downtime with Sofwave. You can immediately resume normal activities post treatment.

Optimal results from Sofwave are seen 3 months after treatment, with some visible improvement starting in the weeks following.
