How does it work?
In just one 25 – 50 minute treatment, the innovative Geneveve technology cools and protects the walls of the vagina, while heating and revitalizing deeper tissue. The gentle pulses of radio frequency trigger and accelerate your body’s own collagen development, generating softer tissue, a more youthful tone and resiliency, and revived sensation of feminine wellness.
Is it safe?
The non-invasive, low-risk treatment applies advanced radiofrequency technology to the vaginal wall to stimulate collagen growth, improve vaginal laxity, and increase feminine wellness. Radio frequency (RF) technology has been used safely in medical applications for over 75 years. Most women experience a sensation of heating and cooling during the procedure, but usually no discomfort. Geneveve is not recommended for patients with implanted devices like pacemakers.
How long does recovery take?
Treatment sessions require no anesthesia or downtime. Immediately after receiving the Geneveve procedure, patients may return to their normal activity level. Most women do not experience any side effects during or after the procedure. We do recommend patients abstain from sexual intercourse for 48 hours after treatment.
What kind of results can I expect?
The advanced and effective Geneveve treatment requires just one 25 – 50 minute treatment to experience noticeable results that last 12 months, and for some women, much longer. Patients report significant improvements in vaginal laxity, urinary incontinence and sexual satisfaction.
Post-Childbirth Vaginal Laxity
New mothers often experience vaginal looseness and overstretched tissue following childbirth. Vaginal laxity can lead to a decline in female sexual function, poor body image and overall reduced quality of life, in addition to urinary incontinence and/or reduced sexual sensitivity. Fortunately, as soon as 8 to 12 weeks following childbirth, Geneveve can offer solutions to these difficulties.
Women experiencing a lack of vaginal sensitivity and stimulation stemming from a medical condition, childbirth, age, or hormone imbalance now have the option to repair existing tissue, restore the elastin and collagen that make for a healthy, tight and sensitive vagina. The Geneveve treatment generates a natural rejuvenation of your tissue, encouraging the vaginal wall to provide more lubrication and sensitivity during sex, and improve overall feminine wellness.
Vaginal Laxity and Urinary Incontinence
Urinary incontinence can result from vaginal laxity due to a decrease in estrogen levels and subsequent deterioration of collagen, which reduces the vulvo-vaginal mucosa. Stress incontinence is a more specific condition, characterized by the inability to prevent leaking urine when sneezing, laughing, exercising or coughing. Geneveve can now work to replenish this degenerated collagen, creating a foundation of stronger tissue that helps the vaginal wall to become more pliant, and improve tightness to properly manage urine flow.
