How does CellFX work?
CellFX uses Nano-Pulse Stimulation™ (NPS™) technology to deliver ultrafast energy pulses to treat cellular lesions without harming the collagen foundation of nearby tissue. Multiple benign skin lesions can be treated in one appointment. We currently offer CellFX for Sebaceous Hyperplasia (enlarged oil glands) and Seborrheic Keratosis (“liver spots”). Many other use patterns, including certain skin cancers, are currently being studied.
Is CellFX safe?
CellFX is FDA cleared for dermatologic procedures requiring ablation and skin resurfacing. Use of CellFX for reduction and removal of cellular based benign lesions is a safe alternative to traditional methods like freezing, burning or chemical removal. Like any procedure, there are risks when used improperly. This technology is very new, so it’s particularly important to find an experienced aesthetic physician familiar with clinical research and new devices.
The CellFX treatment is well tolerated. The treatment itself takes about 15 minutes. To ensure proper skin healing, some post-care steps are required. These considerations will be discussed at your consultation.
Results from CellFX can be seen 30 – 90 days after treatment. Most lesions are successfully cleared with a single CellFX treatment. In some cases, a second session may produce optimal results.
