A hyfrecator is a precision electrosurgical device used to treat a variety of superficial skin concerns. It works by delivering a controlled electrical current to targeted areas, helping to safely reduce or remove benign lesions such as skin tags, sebaceous hyperplasia, and certain vascular or textural irregularities. Treatments are quick and highly targeted.

The Process
During treatment, the hyfrecator is used to gently treat the area of concern with a fine-tipped electrode. You may feel a brief sensation of heat or a light snapping feeling as the energy is delivered. The procedure is typically very quick, and depending on the area being treated, a topical numbing agent may be used for comfort. Following treatment, the area may appear slightly red and will form a small crust as it heals.

Results
As the skin heals over the following days, the treated area will gradually slough off and reveal smoother, clearer skin. Many lesions can be effectively addressed in a single session, though some may require additional treatments.
