Facial laxity develops as the skin and underlying support structures gradually change over time. Collagen and elastin decline, facial fat shifts and supportive ligaments weaken, leading to subtle descent of the cheeks, jawline, and neck. Aging also affects the deeper framework of the face, including bone and soft tissue volume, which naturally diminish with time. As these structural changes occur, the skin may begin to appear heavier, looser, or less defined.
If you’ve seen Dr. Cox as a patient, you’ve likely heard her well known “table and tablecloth” analogy. Think of your face as the table and your skin as the tablecloth. Over time, the “table” beneath the skin becomes smaller as volume and support decrease, while the “tablecloth” remains the same size. This mismatch leads to folding, sagging, and loss of contour. For many patients, these changes become noticeable before they are ready to consider a surgical facelift, making non surgical lifting and tightening treatments an appealing option.

Where Facial Lifting and Tightening Can Make an Impact
Our goal with treatment is to enhance areas where support, contour, and definition may gradually change over time. Common treatment goals include improving jawline definition, softening early jowling, restoring cheek support, and refining transition zones. Subtle lifting of the brows and improvement in skin firmness can also help create a more refreshed appearance.
Because facial aging affects multiple areas simultaneously, treatment is often tailored to improve overall balance and harmony rather than focusing on a single feature.
Before | After: Dr. Cox specializes in holistic treatment of the entire face, placing filler to restore volume and soften creases. Neuromodulators were also an important piece of this patient's treatment plan.
Before | After: A combination of HA fillers, Sculptra, Neuromodulators and Sofwave for a natural, beautiful result.
Before | After: Beautiful results post Sculpt+Lift. The jawline is more sculpted and skin along the neck is tightened.
Before | After: Subtle rejuvenation using dermal fillers. Best results are achieved with a series of sessions.
Before | After: Reestablishing bony support along the lower face with HA fillers.
Before | After: A series of Sculptra sessions for pan facial revolumization and skin quality. Neuromodulators and Fillers were also used for a well-rounded plan.

Treatment
facial lifting + tightening at Aesthetic Solutions
Facial lifting and tightening is rarely achieved through a single treatment alone. Because facial aging affects multiple layers, including skin quality, volume, support structures, and muscle balance, we typically take a multimodal approach tailored to the individual.
Treatment may include hyaluronic acid fillers to restore structural support and contour, biostimulatory injectables to encourage long term collagen production, and energy-based treatments such as Fraxel, Halo Pro, or RF Microneedling (just to name a few!) to improve skin quality and firmness. For some patients, Thread Lift is an option based on their individual anatomy. Ultrasound based devices such as Sofwave may be used to create subtle lifting through collagen remodeling, while Neuromodulators can help improve symmetry and soften muscular pull that contributes to downward facial tension. For patients concerned with a lax jawline and submental area, the Sculpt+Lift treatment produces beautiful results.
By combining treatments strategically, we are able to address facial aging from multiple angles to create balanced, natural looking rejuvenation.
