Dr. Finn
J. Charles Finn, MD

Education and Experience
Dr. Finn holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Yale University and was elected to the Alpha Honor Society while at medical school at Case Western Reserve University. He completed a six-year residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where he received the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency Research Award for his study in wound healing. He is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and was awarded the Jack Anderson Award for Academic Excellence by that academy in 1998. Dr. Finn is also board-certified in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck surgery.
Dr. Finn believes continued medical education and new technology training is of the utmost importance for any physician to stay current with new trends. Dr. Cox and Dr. Finn are established as a Botox© Cosmetic National Physician Training Center since 1999. As a training center, Dr, Finn teaches other physicians how to properly administer Botox®.
Dr. Finn is known
for his artistry as well as his surgical skills. He dedicates time every
week mastering the art of sculpture. He shares studio space and model
time with several other local sculptors. Dr. Finn works mostly in clay
and either fires his work or casts his work in a variety of materials.
With an understanding
of his patients’ concerns, Dr. Finn uses his artistic and surgical
skills to produce remarkable aesthetic results, transforming art into
reality.

Facial Plastic Surgery procedures such as face-lift, endoscopic brow-lift, cosmetic and functional
rhinoplasty, injectable fillers, Botox©Cosmetic and the reconstruction
of facial scars and skin cancers. Dr. Finn has been a speaker at multiple
national meetings and authored the chapter "Rhinoplasty, Broad
Nasal Tip" in the online textbook, Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic
Surgery. As well as several other publications and chapters.
Community
Involvement
Since 1998, Dr. Finn has participated
in Face to Face: The National Domestic Violence Project which provides
pro bono facial plastic surgery services to victims of domestic abuse.
Dr. Finn believes continued medical education and new technology training
is of the utmost importance for any physician to stay current with new
trends. Dr. Cox and Dr. Finn are established as a Botox©Cosmetic
National Physician Training Center since 1999. As a training center,
Dr, Finn teaches other physicians how to properly administer Botox©.
In March 2004, Dr. Finn presented and then instructed twenty regional
physicians how to inject Restylane, and injectable filling material.
In April 2004, he lectured and then demonstrated to another large group
of physicians how to operate four Candela laser systems. He continues
to teach residents from both UNC and Duke and has been appointed Assistant
Consulting Professor of Surgery at Duke University.
